LEGISLATIVE

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

H.B. 422 Public Health Orders Amendments:

I have been a champion of the cause of streamlining healthcare delivery by cutting through bureaucratic red tape and empowering local communities. The latest legislative proposal I proposed is a testament to our commitment to practical, conservative healthcare reforms. By eliminating the requirement for physician approval of health department protocols for non-controlled prescriptions, this bill paves the way for a more efficient healthcare system. It allows healthcare professionals to focus on delivering quality care without unnecessary regulatory burdens.

HB487: Historic Preservation Amendments:

I am committed to preserving our state's rich historical and archaeological heritage for the benefit of future generations. Understanding the intrinsic value that historical sites and artifacts bring to our community's cultural identity. I proposed and worked diligently to pass a bill that outlines a robust plan that focuses on safeguarding these treasures. By securing archaeological resources and sites on state lands, we ensure that our state's legacy is preserved, not just as a testament to our past but as a cornerstone for future educational and cultural enrichment. Our approach emphasizes the importance of cooperation among state authorities, the archaeological community, and the public, fostering an environment where information and resources are shared for the collective goal of preservation.

H.B. 530 Licensed School Psychological Practitioner Amendments

This legislative proposal introduces a streamlined and rigorous process for licensing professionals in the psychology field, reinforcing the high standards necessary for safeguarding public health and ensuring the utmost quality of mental health care. It mandates comprehensive education and extensive hands-on training, including a doctoral degree for psychologists, alongside a robust vetting process that includes a criminal background check and a stringent examination. By setting these high thresholds, the legislation ensures that only the most qualified individuals can serve in sensitive roles, aligning with conservative values of personal responsibility, professional integrity, and the protection of community welfare. This approach not only upholds the profession's prestige but also ensures that mental health services are provided by individuals with proven expertise and commitment to ethical standards.
